Host-To-Host Overview
Overview
This service allows a user to verify domestic account details, to ensure that they belong to the person or organisation that is intended.
Description
All that is required is the account number, branch code, initials, surname and ID number of the of the individual. If verifying a juristic entity, you need the account number, branch code, business name and registration number of the business.
The account verification service assists to mitigate fraud by validating that the account being paid into or collected from, belongs to the owner that the transaction is intended for.The user can use this service to verify account details before making payments or collection from the accounts. The user can verify real time or batch account details from Acoount verification participating banks.
Important Update
Account Verification Service is now available on Integration Channel (IC) via API and Host-to-Host:
- Available formats for requesting and receiving responses for AVS are cvs/txt/ISO.
- Clients are able to submit single requests and bulk requests for AVS.
- Clients receive responses via client server in the AVS out folder.

The client is already onboarded as a bank client and has FirstID.
The client has OBE credentials.
Internet Service Provider (ISP) Installation
For your organisation to connect to RMB through Fintegrate, it must have subscribed to an Internet Service Provider (ISP) that offers you many services such as data storage, website advertising capabilities, email and internet access. To set up communication between your company and the bank, please contact your Relationship Manager at your ISP to apply for access to the RMB network.

SFTP
SFTP is a widely accepted protocol, and is recommended if you will be sending high volumes of transactions in one request
In terms of setup, it is your organization's responsibility to install the protocol on your Server / AS400 / Mainframe. In addition, you will be required to provide us with your SFTP details for test and production environment if you are connecting on your own account.
If you are connecting on your own account, your system is required to send and fetch responses from the Bank. Our channel does not send responses to or fetch requests from your environment.
MQ (Message Queue)
Messaging Queue IBM® MQ is robust messaging middleware that simplifies and accelerates the integration of diverse applications and business data across multiple platforms.
MQ is recommended for real time processing for maximum efficiency.
In terms of setup, you will be required to issue us with your MQ details for test and production environment if you are connecting on your own account.
Connect Direct
IBM Sterling Connect is optimized for high volume delivery of files It also provides script based automation, scheduling and alert notifications for 24x7 unattended operations.

MFT
Managed file transfer (MFT) is a technology platform that allows organizations to reliably exchange electronic data between systems and people in a secure way to meet compliance needs. MFT is a more reliable and efficient means for secure data and file transfer, outpacing and outperforming applications such as file transfer protocol (FTP), hypertext transfer protocol (HTTP), secure file transfer protocol (SFTP) and other methods.
